George Magee collection, 1916-1920 [manuscript]

The collection primarily consists of letters from Charles Sommer to Mr. and Mrs. George Magee, but also includes an award certificate and letter to Mrs. Magee from the Belgium Relief Committee. Sommer speaks of his mission in France, the beauties of Paris, and the work he has been doing, such as building wooden huts for refugees and overall impressions about the population under siege of war. There is also a certificate from the Belgian Relief Committee to Mrs. James F. Magee, Jr. for relief work, 1915-1919, signed by the Belgian ambassador, Baron de Cartier and the chair of the Belgian Relief Committee, I.I. R. Henry.
